Inter, 20 months after being appointed as Nerazzurri boss.

The 51-year-old coached the Italians between 2004 and 2008, during which time he won three Scudetti and two Coppa Italias, before returning in November 2014, but had less success on the domestic and European stage.

As announced on the club’s official website, Inter have parted ways with Mancini after terminating his contract, and they have thanked him for the professionalism and the work he put in during his time at the Stadio Meazza.

Both parties reportedly clashed over Mancini’s temperament, while he was angry with Inter’s attitude towards the transfer market, and a severance pay was prepared a couple of weeks ago for the inevitable departure of the former Lazio and Manchester City boss.

Dutch tactician Frank de Boer is linked to be the most likely replacement, after he left Ajax following six years with the club.
