AC Milan defender Alex looks set to complete a move to Porto after he landed in Portugal recently to meet with the club.

It was announced at the end of last season that the Brazilian defender would leave the Rossoneri this summer, along with Phillippe Mexes, Kevin-Prince Boateng and Mario Balotelli, but no club has offered up a place in their squad for him yet.

That is about to change, however, with reports from O Jogo claiming the 34-year-old has landed in Portugal to undergo a medical before completing a transfer to the Dragoes.

He moved to the Stadio Meazza in 2014 from Paris Saint-Germain and had appeared 48 times since in all competitions, scoring four goals.

Alex won two straight French Ligue 1 titles with PSG before moving to Italy, and has also had stints at Santos, Chelsea and PSV Eindhoven during his career.
