Winner – Arkadiusz Milik

Following this weekend the task of replacing Gonzalo Higuain looks considerably easier than it did after round one of the Serie A season. In last weekend’s 2-2 draw to Pescara, Napoli looked rather toothless going forward and seemed to be lacking the Argentine’s clinical presence. Yet on Saturday in a 4-2 demolition of AC Milan and in his home debut, Milik gave Partenopei fans hope that the loss of Higuain won’t be felt too harshly this season.

Milik showed some pure predatory instincts to score his first of the night finding himself in the perfect position to poke home Dries Mertens shot which had flashed back off the post. His second of the night was similarly impressive as the Poland international rose high to power a header past the helpless Gianluigi Donnarumma. With Manolo Gabbiadini in reserve, Napoli won’t be lacking goals this season.
