Loser – Frank De Boer
It’s been anything but a good start to the former Ajax coach’s career at Inter. Two games, one loss and one draw against Chievo and Palermo makes for bad reading. The Nerazzurri haven’t simply just been unlucky, both teams have caused Il Biscione numerous difficulties. Chievo exposed Inter’s defensive weaknesses whilst Palermo’s stern defensive effort in their 1-1 draw on Sunday highlighted a lack of fluency in Inter’s offensive game.
Admittedly, De Boer and the Nerazzurri were unlucky in one respect against the Rosanero as Andrea Rispoli’s strike was heavily deflected to give Palermo the lead. However, with players like Mauro Icardi, Antonio Candreva and Ever Banega on the field, creating chances and scoring goals shouldn’t been an issue. Yet, in the first half Inter toiled with their best chances falling to Gary Medel and Miranda of all people. The second half wasn’t much of an improvement despite a decent equaliser from Icardi.
De Boer needs to get his players understanding his ideas fast otherwise he might soon find himself under pressure.
