Inter to discuss the possibility of bringing Davide Santon back to England on a year-long loan deal.

Inter have made Santon available for transfer this summer and recently agreed a deal with Napoli, but the transfer didn’t go through after the player failed his medical tests with Partenopei.

According to Sky Sport Italia, West Ham are ready to take their chances with Santon as they seek to add a new left-back to act as cover for injured Aaron Cresswell.

The 25-year-old defender can play in both sides of the field and has good knowledge of English football, having appeared in more than 90 matches over three years with Newcastle United.

The Italian international has struggled with injuries since returning to Serie A with the Nerazzurri in January 2015 and appeared in only 13 matches last season for Roberto Mancini’s side.
