Torino, former Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini believes Pep Guardiola should have kept his faith in Joe Hart.
The English international has joined Il Toro on a season-long loan in an attempt to somewhat restart his career, after he was demoted to third choice goalkeeper for the English Premier League side.
“Every coach has their own ideas, but I really do not understand the choice [to sell Hart],” Mancini told Tuttosport.
“Despite his age I think Joe can still improve, Torino have purchased a great player.
“In Italy, the coaches are very smart and this will be an advantage for him.”
Despite being replaced at Manchester City, Hart is still seen as important for the England national side and is expected to keep his number one place for the Three Lions, but could make his Serie A debut on his return, when Torino travel to Atalanta on September 11.
