Blaise Matuidi - PSGParis Saint-Germain midfielder Blaise Matuidi has spoken of his disappointment at the club over their refusal to let him join Juventus.

The Bianconeri had a busy summer transfer window, signing the likes of Gonzalo Higuain, Medhi Benatia, Miralem Pjanic and others, but deadline day could have seen another player join their squad, however PSG were unwilling to let Matuidi go.

“For me it was a concrete offer that arrived and I wanted to go away, but PSG said no and I have to accept it,” Matuidi told TF1.

“For me it was a difficult time, my desire was not respected.”

Despite this, the 29-year-old is happy that the French giants and their coach Unai Emery have faith in his ability.

“I am not in a bad place in Paris, Emery has a lot of confidence in me and this has led to the club not selling me,” Matuidi said.

Matuidi is not the only player to have been on the cusp of a Juventus transfer only for it to fall through, as Zenit St Petersburg man Axel Witsel was also ready to move to Italy.
