Palermo are set to go through yet another coaching change, as Davide Ballardini has left the Rosanero’s training camp for Roberto De Zerbi.

One point has come Palermo’s way from the opening two games of the 2016/17 Serie A season, and as a result chairman Maurizio Zamparini is looking to change things up a bit.

TuttoPalermo.net reports that Zamparini has reached an agreement with former Foggia coach Roberto De Zerbi, with the contract expected to be worth €500,000 per season across two years.

It also reports that De Zerbi will be joined by former Palermo forward Davide Possanzini as assistant coach.

Ballardini only re-joined the Sicilians for his second spell with the club in April earlier this year, replacing Walter Novellino, which was the ninth change made on the coaching bench for the club last season.

De Zerbi only retired from playing professional football in 2013, and has since taken charge of Serie D side Darfo Boario, as well as Serie C’s Foggia.
