totti-francescoRoma legend Francesco Totti is adamant that he still has a future in football and will not go away from the game after he hangs up his boots.

Totti, who turns 40 next week, has made three Serie A appearances this season, racking up two assists and scoring one goal. His performance after coming on in the second half against Sampdoria had helped the Eternal City side to a 3-2 triumph, having been 2-1 down.

“For sure, I will stay in football,” said Totti to Italian comic Topolino.

“I have an agreement with the club that will allow me not to detach myself completely from the game. With a glint of curiosity, I’m getting closer to that moment, but I will have to be totally focused on my mission: to honor the Roma shirt until the last minute of my career.”

The Italian legend, who had penned a new one-year deal at the club this past summer, has made 603 appearances for the senior side, scoring 249 times.
