With Luciano Spalletti expected to leave Roma, it looks as though current PSG coach Unai Emery is the favourite to take over at season’s end.

The Lupi and the Tuscan boss are expected to part ways as they head for another season without a trophy, and prospective sporting director Monchi is already hard at work looking for a replacement.

Sky Sport Italia reports Emery is Roma’s top candidate to step in, as the former Sevilla director enjoyed great success with the tactician during their time in Andalusia from 2013 to 2016.

Should PSG refuse to part with Emery, it’s believed former Inter boss Roberto Mancini is being looked it as a possible candidate as well.

Other names being considered are Gian Piero Gasperini, Eusebio Di Francesco and Jorge Sampaoli.

Roma currently sit second in Serie A, eight points back of Juventus with just six matches remaining in the season.
