Inter’s promising young forward Gabriel Barbosa is set to leave the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza this deadline day, with Portuguese side Benfica to take him on loan.

Despite signing just last summer with a lot of fanfare, Gabigol was handed just 111 minutes of Serie A action and understandably failed to make a significant impact in his limited playing time.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sportthe Brazilian and his representatives will leave Milan tonight and fly to Lisbon, where he will join the club on an initial loan deal, while the Eagles will have an option to make the move permanent at the end of the loan for €25 million.

His 111 minutes for the Biscione accumulated from nine appearances, in which time he scored once.
