AC Milan striker M’Baye Niang has completed a much anticipated move to Torino, arriving on a season-long loan deal with an obligation to buy.

The Frenchman spent the second half of last season on loan at Premier League side Watford, having only managed 12 goals across five seasons for Milan. His stint with the club also included loans at Montpellier and Genoa respectively.

Niang will spend the season on loan at the Stadio Olimpico, before being signed permanently for €20 million next summer.

An official statement on Torino’s website confirmed the arrival of the 22-year-old, reuniting the former Caen youngster with former Diavolo boss Sinisa Mihajlovic.

Niang had reportedly been proposed to a number of clubs over the summer, including Everton and Spartak Moscow, but is understood to have only had eyes for the Granata.

The saga saw Niang excused from training with the Rossoneri on the grounds of stress-related issues, but the two clubs were finally able to come to an agreement and whisk the forward to Turin.
