The Stadio Giuseppe Meazza has played host to some of the deadliest strikers in Serie A history, with both AC Milan and Inter enjoying a rich tradition of attacking gems.
As the cross-town rivals gear up for another Derby della Madonnina, they will be looking to their forwards evoke the memories of some of the most prolific goalscorers in the history of this fixture.
We take a look through the illustrious list of the Derby della Madonnina’s most potent goalscorers.
10. Louis Van Hege – AC Milan – 7 Goals
With a scarcely credible return of 97 goals in just 88 appearances for Milan between 1910 and 1915, diminutive Belgian Van Hege was equally prolific in the Derby.
The inside-forward fired in seven goals as the Rossoneri dominated against their cross-city rivals before the outbreak of the First World War.
An Olympic football gold medallist at the 1920 Games on home soil, Van Hege proved his all-round athleticism by competing in the bobsleigh event at the 1932 Winter Olympics.
