Atalanta have opted for Alejandro Gomez and Andrea Petagna, as they look to secure their passage through Group E of the Europa League with victory at Everton.

La Dea sit top of the table with only two games remaining, and know that they could reach the knockout stages with a point tonight, depending on results elsewhere.

Coach Gian Piero Gasperini has made two changes to the side that lost 2-0 to Inter on Sunday, with Jasmin Kurtic and Josip Ilicic missing out. Remo Freuler and Petagna replace the Slovenian duo.

The match is a dead rubber for already-eliminated Everton, and the Toffees have turned to Wayne Rooney to lead the line. The former England forward is flanked by Kevin Mirallas and Sandro Ramirez, whilst Joel Robles is afforded a start in goal.

Meanwhile, youngsters Jonjoe Kenny and Benny Baningime are offered the opportunity to impress again in the first team.

Everton: Robles; Kenny, Keane, Williams, Martina; Davies, Baningime, Klaasen; Mirallas, Sandro, Rooney

Atalanta: Berisha; Toloi, Palomino, Masiella; Hateboer, Freuler, De Roon, Castagne; Cristante; Gomez, Petagna
