After their 0-0 draw with Juventus at the Allianz Stadium, Inter’s Borja Valero feels that his side are becoming more confident as the Serie A season goes on.

Still unbeaten in the league, a credible result at the home of the champions has further underlined Inter’s standing as Scudetto hopefuls.

“We definitely thought about the game in a different way,” Valero told Sky Sport Italia.

“We didn’t get a chance to hurt then, but we kept the ball a lot. Juventus are a great team and it isn’t easy to play against them as they pressed us a lot.”

Inter have now faced both Scudetto rivals, Napoli and Juventus, away from home, securing 0-0 draws against both, which Valero indicated is increasing the Nerazzurri’s confidence.

“We are becoming more confident,” he went on. “This is a very important season, so much so that getting points away to our rivals will count.

“Now we have to think about our next matches and keep going as we are.

“We are very focussed and a very close knit team. We are a solid unit when we go onto the field, and we leave very few chances for the opposition.

“Today was a good defensive test.”
