Atalanta will be hoping to continue their European dream when they take to the field at Westfalenstadion to take on one of the Europa League favourites Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of their knockout tie.

Dortmund are currently third in the Bundesliga and have experienced a relatively mixed season so far, but January signing Michy Batshuayi has helped in recent weeks and has netted three times in his two appearances so far.

Atalanta welcome Alejandro Gomez and Mattia Caldara back into the squad, and the Argentine will likely play a key role in any success La Dea are to have over the two legs.

Solidity is priority in midfield for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side for the away fixture with both Marten de Roon and Remo Freuler starting at the base behind Bryan Cristante.

Borussia Dortmund: Burki, Sokratis, Toprak, Toljan, Piszczek, Reus, Weigl, Castro, Batshuayi, Pulisic, Schurrle

Atalanta: Berisha; Toloi, Caldara, Masiello; Hateboer, De Roon, Freuler, Spinazzola; Cristante; Ilicic, Gomez.
