Inter keen to retain Barcelona loanee

Luciano Spalletti has his eyes firmly set on working towards improving his squad, with Inter already preparing to keep hold of Rafinha.

The 25-year-old has looked to be a promising addition since his loan switch, after the Milanese club secured him from Barcelona during the winter transfer widow to bolster their midfield options.

With the Nerazzurri keen on him, the club would already be making plans to retain the Brazilian midfielder beyond his loan spell according to Mundo Deportivo.

In order to achieve this however, Inter will need to raise the cash to buy him out however. The likes of Geoffrey Kondogbia, Marcelo Brozovic and Joao Mario could all be let go to raise the necessary funds to pay the player’s release clause.

In order to make Rafinha’s loan permanent, Inter will need to hand Barcelona €35 million plus €3m in bonuses. Since moving to Serie A, Rafinha has made just three league appearances and provided one assist.
