Ahead of his side’s clash with table-topping Napoli, Inter coach Luciano Spalletti has dismissed talk that he would be happy with a draw.

Around 60,000 spectators are expected at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Sunday evening, as the Nerazzurri celebrate their 110th birthday.

“We need a win,” insisted Spalletti in his pre-match press conference, “that’s all there is to it.”

“We can safely talk about an important match, and this is the right thing to do, there is nothing else to say. We have seven away games and five at home. We must win as many as possible.”

Spalletti was also asked whether he expected a Neapolitan backlash after his opponents’ defeat to Roma last time out.

“They are angry? Well, we should be more angry with the mistakes we have made recently,” he joked, “in any case, we will have to be perfect to beat them.

“My lads understand the importance of this game, and the 110-year anniversary helped us understand the weight of history at this club.”
