Roma welcome Genoa to the Stadio Olimpico in Serie A on Wednesday evening, knowing that victory would see them return to the Champions League qualifying spots.

Coach Eusebio Di Francesco has reshaped his midfield completely after reverting back to a more familiar 4-3-3 after employing a 3-4-1-2 against Barcelona and Lazio, whilst a number of key figures sit the visit of the Grifone out.

Maxime Gonalons and Gerson are afforded rare starts alongside Lorenzo Pellegrini in midfield, with usual trio Daniele De Rossi, Kevin Strootman and Radja Nainggolan rested.

Meanwhile, Juan Jesus comes in for Kostas Manolas after the Greek centre-back limped off in the Derby della Capitale on Sunday.

Elsewhere, top scorer Edin Dzeko is flanked by Stephan El Shaarawy and Cengiz Under, with the latter making a first start since suffering a minor injury last month.

Genoa are unbeaten in four and will be looking to make a late push for a top half finish. Gianluca Lapadula and Goran Pandev lead the line, whilst Roma youth team graduates Andrea Bertolacci and Aleandro Rosi start.

The Giallorossi will be coming up against another familiar face in defender Ervin Zukanovic, who joins Luca Rossettini and Jawad El Yamiq in a three-man defence.

Roma: Alisson; Florenzi, Fazio, Juan Jesus, Kolarov; Gerson, Gonalons, Pellegrini; Under, Dzeko, El Shaarawy

Genoa: Perin; El Yamiq, Rossettini, Zukanovic; Rosi, Rigoni, Hiljemark, Bertolacci, Migliore; Pandev, Lapadula
