Sporting CP striker Bas Dost is on AC Milan’s transfer radar this summer as they look to reinvigorate things in the final third.

The Diavolo finished sixth in Serie A last season to secure European football for the coming campaign but scoring was an issue throughout the year and only two teams in the top 10 scored less than their 56 goals.

However, those woes could be ended with the acquisition of Dost, with Portuguese newspaper A Bola confirming that the Rossoneri are interested in signing the 28-year-old.

According to the report, tensions are currently high between the Dutchman and the Lisbon club and a contract termination had been discussed, which would leave him free to sign for Milan for nothing.

That has become somewhat more unlikely of late, yet even if the former Wolfsburg target man doesn’t reach such an agreement, the Rossoneri are still keen on pursuing him and may even tempt Sporting into a season-long loan.

The player’s relationship with the club and fans has soured following the shocking attack on he and his teammates by supporters, angered at their underperforming over the course of the season.
