Fiorentina midfielder Milan Badelj has a four-year contract on the table from Serie A rivals AC Milan.

The 29 year-old has long been a target for the Rossoneri, with a deal thought to have been close to completion last summer.

With his contract set to expire next month Tuttosport claims the Croatian could finally make the switch to the Stadio San Siro, ending months of speculation.

Milan have been rocked by UEFA sanctions that could potentially see them omitted from the Europa League, meaning low cost strategies on the transfer market will be key.

Badelj would bring much needed experience to the midfield, having already chalked up close to 150 appearances for La Viola since 2014.

The former Hamburg midfielder has previously drawn interest from the likes of Roma, but appears set on a move to the Diavolo.

Capped 36 times for Croatia, Badelj has been included in the Vatreni’s squad for next month’s World Cup in Russia.
