With Liverpool having been in scintillating form this season in the Champions League, Jordan Henderson thinks that the Reds have all the tools to cause Real Madrid plenty of issues in Saturday’s Champions League final.

Henderson told reporters at the pre-match press conference that the 2016 Europa League foinal defeat to Sevilla can provide Liverpool with valuable lessons and a platform to beat the current holders.

How you feel about the fans not making it to Kiev, and the problems they have had getting here?

“It’s disappointing and probably very difficult for them to get over now, but hopefully they will be able to get an alternative route, or if they stay at home they’ll support us as much as possible. The fans are a massive part of the club and have played a massive part of us getting this far in the competition. Hopefully our fans can create an atmosphere similar to Anfield which has made a massive difference to us throughout the competition.

With Steven Gerrard’s heroics in 2005, how to do you feel about potentially fulfilling a destiny like that against Real Madrid?

“I’m feeling good, but isn’t about me fulfilling anything. It is about us creating our own history, and we have done fantastically well and we want to remember it for the right reasons which is us winning the Champions League.

Real Madrid are known for scoring at the end of games, so do you have anything special for the players in mind?

“Anything can happing in any game, and especially in the Champions League final so we need to be prepared for anything and everything. Real Madrid are a fantastic team with fantastic players, and we have to play at a level we are capable of, and I feel that if we do that, we can hurt Madrid.

What do you think about both coaches, as Zidane is more calm and Klopp is more instance. Can you compare both coaches?

“I don’t know what Zidane is like, but we are very privileged to be playing under Klopp and we will learn a lot from him. What he is done since he has come to the club is incredible. I’m sure he will be intense on the sidelines, but that is good for us as players, you can see that, and that’s how we like to play as well.

What do you think the defeat to Sevilla in the Europa League will give you against Real Madrid?

“Obviously, it was hard not winning the I feel we can use the final against Sevilla as a learning curve, it obviously hurt that night and you never really forget that, but we can use it as motivation and use that going forward, and we have certainly done that since that night. We have definitely moved forward and are going in the right direction. It’s also important for us to win trophies, and hopefully we will start by winning one tomorrow. The club, especially in Europe have quite a few times so it is in the DNA of Liverpool football club, and the team want to win trophies as well, for us, for the fans and for the club. We are certainly going in the right direction to do that.
