As Juventus celebrated securing their seventh straight Scudetto, Bianconeri winger Douglas Costa found himself inthe crosshairs of tensions between Napoli and Juve.
Napoli and Juventus’ rivalry hit an all time high this season as the Partenopei led Serie A for the first half of the campaign before finishing in second place.
During the parade Douglas Costa was filming on Instagram Live and captured pictures of coffins with Napoli’s logo and Insigne written on them.

Reports from Napoli’s official website, indicate images including a blue coffin with Insigne and the Napoli logo painted on, and additionally, a picture of a fan wearing a “Napoli merda” t-shirt was also shown.
Later that night, Napoli’s official twitter account posted a screenshot of the blue coffin image and wrote “We are truly outraged by the shameful and offensive attitude of some Juventus players today. Serious gestures that offend the dignity of a people and a Neapolitan like Insigne. It is unacceptable.”
Juventus fans reacted to this by posting images of Napoli fans who had depicted a grave for Juventus’ Gonzalo Higuain, as well as the Argentine being ‘hanged’ by Partenopei fans.
