Juventus have been crowned Serie A champions again, but a Neapolitan lawyer has issued a petition related to the way they have celebrated.
Angelo Pisani, president of the ‘Noi Consumatori’ association, has sent the document to public prosecutors offices for the FIGC, and Rome itself, in order to ensure action is taken.
Within the petition, he calls for the Bianconeri to renounce any claim on the two titles that were stripped from the club as a result of the Calciopoli scandal, and remove reference to ’36’ in any and all of the club records, replacing it with ’34’; the number of titles the Turin club has officially won.
The club website declares Juventus the winner of 36 Scudetti, and there has been merchandise produced bearing that figure on it, as well as presentations of printed shirts at various times.
Pisani contests the decision to do this, calling for sanctions including a points deduction and suspension of players, as well as a fine, referring to the decision at the end of the Calciopoli trial for his reasoning.
Neither Juventus, nor any of the bodies contacted by Pisani, have, as yet, responded to the petition.
