Claudio Marchisio’s time at Juventus may be set to come to an end this summer, but the midfielder has ruled out a move to Montreal Impact.

The Canadian MLS side tabled a bid for the 32-year-old, but the Turin native turned it down as he hopes to remain at his boyhood club.

Vice President Nick De Santis travelled to meet with Marchisio’s representatives earlier in the year, but was unable to convince the midfielder to join fellow Italians Matteo Mancosu and Marco Donadel at the Saputo Stadium.

Marchisio has been with Juventus all his career, playing almost 400 games for the Bianconeri and winning six Serie A titles, as well as a Serie B crown and three Coppa Italias.

He is contracted at the Allianz Stadium until 2020, but with his appearances becoming less and less regular, it is thought that he may look to secure first team football elsewhere as early as this summer.
