Inter are closing in on the acquisition of Argentine youngster Lautaro Martinez, who is set to join the club after completing a medical on Friday.
Before the transfer window has even opened, the Nerazzurri have already been busy by putting deals in place to snap up Stefan De Vrij and Kwadwo Asamoah from Lazio and Juventus respectively.
Martinez is set to join them and after playing for Racing Avellaneda against Cruzeiro on Tuesday and on Wednesday, he is set to take an intercontinental flight from Buenos Aires to Milan.
It is expected that he will arrive in Italy on Thursday before undergoing medical examinations at Appiano Gentile the following day.
In order to help Inter avoid Financial Fair Play restrictions, the contract of Martinez will not be deposited to Lega Serie A until July 1 in order to ensure that the deal falls under the next budget cycle.
Racing are set to receive €22 million plus bonuses for the sale of the 20-year-old, who had also been closely linked with Atletico Madrid.
