Croatia international Ante Coric arrived in Rome on Saturday to put pen-to-paper on a transfer to Roma, despite interest from Manchester City, Liverpool and Bayern Munich.

The 21-year-old has caught the attention of some of Europe’s most prestigious clubs with a series of impressive performances for Dinamo Zagreb, with Real Madrid and Arsenal previously showing an interest.

However, Roma have secured a €7 million deal with Dinamo to snap up the attacking midfielder, and Coric landed at the city’s Fiumicino airport on Saturday morning accompanied by his father and agent, report La Gazzetta dello Sport.

Coric is set to undergo a medical before signing a five-year contract with the Giallorossi at €1m per season, whilst Dinamo will earn a further €1m in bonuses.

The Zagreb-native has been a long-term target of Roma sporting director Monchi, and the Spaniard is set to meet his new signing over the weekend.

An unused member of Croatia’s Euro 2016 squad, Coric made his international debut against Moldova in 2016 and has two caps to his name.
