Lorenzo Pellegrini is set to secure an improved new contract at Roma in order to ward off interest from Juventus as well as English duo Manchester United and Arsenal.

Many sides across the continent have enquired after the 21-year-old, whose agent Giampiero Pocetta is soon expected to meet with Giallorossi sporting director Monchi to discuss his future, despite false claims that such talks already took place this week.

La Gazzetta dello Sport report that Juventus and coach Massimiliano Allegri have long been admirers of the midfielder, while United and Arsenal have made enquiries about his availability through intermediaries.

As a result, Roma are keen to have Pellegrini pen a new deal, the biggest feature of which will see his release clause which is currently just under €30 million rise significantly or even be removed altogether.

At present, it isn’t something which the player himself is focused on as he is currently away on international duty with Roberto Mancini’s Italy side and after that, he is scheduled to leave for his honeymoon.

The former Sassuolo man’s agent and his family are taking care of everything back in the Eternal City, although the situation is very much in Pellegrini’s hands.

It will be up to him to choose whether or not he agrees with the club’s decision in relation to a buyout clause, with the Lupi’s hope that his love for the club plays a part in convincing him that it is the best move for all concerned.
