Daniele Rugani remains a top target for Chelsea this summer, with reports suggesting the English club are ready to meet Juventus’ demands.

The Blues are expected to name Maurizio Sarri as their new manager once they free him from his Napoli contract, and it appears they are already hard at work looking at potential new recruits.

Calcionews24.com reports one name being looked at is Rugani, who has long been a favourite of the tactician.

Juventus have reportedly placed a €35-40 million price tag on the 23-year-old, but it’s believed Chelsea are willing to meet those demands to land the former Empoli defender.

The move – which would see the defender earn €4m plus bonuses a campaign – would also provide Rugani with an opportunity to secure a starting role after failing to do so under Massimiliano Allegri over the last two seasons.

Last campaign, Rugani netted two goals in just 22 Serie A appearances for the eventual champions.
