Emre Can has finally completed his long-awaited move to Juventus, having put pen to paper on a four-year contract.

Upon the expiration of his deal at Liverpool, the Germany international was available on a free transfer this summer and had courted plenty of interest across the continent.

However, the Italian champions have won the race for his signature and confirmed on Thursday afternoon that he has penned a contract until June 2022.

“Juventus announce a contract of employment with Emre Can, effective as of July 1, 2018 and expiring on June 30, 2022 has been signed,” read a club statement. “As a result, Juventus will incur additional costs of €16 million, to be paid over the next two financial years.”

Can joined Liverpool in 2014 from Bayer Leverkusen and went on to make more than 150 appearances during his time on Merseyside before opting to depart this summer after deciding against a new contract with the Reds.
