Ricardo Rodriguez’s agent has firmly quashed any suggestions that his client could leave AC Milan during the summer transfer window.

Having only been at the club for one season following his move from Wolfsburg last summer, the Switzerland star has shown no intention of making it a short stay.

Although some players at the club may have to be moved on to comply with Financial Fair Play regulations, Rodriguez’s agent Gianluca Di Domenico has insisted that he will not be one of them.

“Will he stay at Milan? That’s like asking me if I would [want to] be thin for the next 10 years. Seriously, he has a contract at Milan, he has done well and is playing for a coach in Gennaro Gattuso who likes him a lot,” he told Radio Crc.

“At the moment, Ricardo knows what he has in Milan, although it is true that in football, you can’t 100% say that you will stay a Milan player because this sport is like that.

“What I can say about Ricardo though is that he’s really happy to play for such an important club as the Rossoneri.”

In his maiden season in Serie A, Rodriguez clocked up 43 appearances across all competitions, managing three goals and two assists.
