With a desire to have his future resolved before the World Cup, reports in Spain suggest Roma goalkeeper Alisson has told his agent to start negotiations with Real Madrid.

The Giallorossi are keen to retain the Brazilian shotstopper, however the Champions League winners have increased their efforts to ensure they see off the competition of fellow finalists Liverpool.

According to Marca, although Los Blancos have yet to make a formal offer to the Serie A club, the 25-year-old has told his representatives to find an agreement on personal terms that would prompt them approaching the Giallorossi.

However, the Spanish giants will still face a fight to prize Alisson away from the capital, with sporting director Monchi looking for at least €60 million and has the security that the No. 1 still has three years remaining on his contract.

Under the existing terms there is no buyout clause for the South American, which also increases the chances that no deal will be found before Brazil face Switzerland on 17 June.
