Atalanta midfielder Bryan Cristante will almost certainly leave Bergamo to join Roma this summer, with a deal set to be confirmed on July 1.

After shining during the 2017/18 campaign for La Dea, the Italy international has been on the radar of many clubs in Serie A and across Europe as well.

According to Sky Sport Italia, an agreement has been reached between Atalanta, Roma and the player and there will be an overall transfer fee of €30 million involved. It has not yet been decided precisely how that payment will be made.

Currently, the most likely outcome appears to be an initial season-long loan for which the Giallorossi will pay €5m, with there being an obligation for the capital club to buy the player outright for a further €25m next summer.

Cristante scored nine times and contributed three assists in his 36 Serie A appearances this season and scored a further three in the Europa League.
