Justin Kluivert has completed his long-awaited move from Ajax to Roma, the Serie A club confirmed on Friday, with the starlet penning a five-year deal.

Earlier this month, the youngster had flown into the Eternal City to agree terms on his deal, before departing to Ibiza to enjoy his summer holiday and the transfer has now been finalised.

Roma have announced that they have paid the Dutch club an initial €17.25 million for the services of the 19-year-old, although they could be in line to pay an additional €1.5m in performance related bonuses.

Ajax could also be in line for a further €4m as they are entitled to 10 percent of any sell-on fee greater than €25m, although the figure has been capped at €4m in the event of a €40m move.

Kluivert, who is the son of former Netherlands international Patrick, has penned a contract until June 2023 at the Stadio Olimpico and believes that the Giallorossi are the perfect club to aid him in his development.

“I’m feeling great because I’m at an unbelievable club and I can’t wait to get started,” he said. “I think Roma is a great club for me and they can build me into a bigger, stronger player and I can do some good things here.”
