Serie A rivals Juventus and Inter are facing new competition in their pursuit of Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Mousa Dembele, after an unnamed Chinese club submitted an offer.

The Belgium international has caught the eye of a number of teams following an impressive season in the Premier League, and Inter had shown a strong interest in securing his signature.

Juventus are also looking to reinforce their midfield and had appeared to overtake Inter in the race for Dembele, but the Italian duo could miss out altogether, after RMC Sport reported that Spurs had received a €34 million offer from China.

Whilst the club in question are as yet unnamed, Tottenham are thought to be seriously considering the approach, particularly as Dembele is closing in on his 31st birthday next month and would represent a considerable profit on the €18m spent to bring him in from Fulham in 2012.

Dembele, who has been included in Belgium’s World Cup squad, has scored 10 goals in 232 appearances for Tottenham.
