Following the news that Leonardo was set for another AC Milan return, this time in a general manager capacity, the Curva Sud ultras group have voiced their disgust at the potential appointment.

The Brazilian is reportedly nearing a Milan comeback for the fourth time in his life, having played for the club in two separate spells and coached them for a season in 2009/10.

However, he left the club that summer and before the end of the year, took over at city rivals Inter to replace Rafael Benitez, something which the ultras have not forgotten, as evidenced by their statement on the matter.

“We can only ask of the new owners that they look at the history of the Rossoneri and not forget what has been done by people like Leonardo, who only knew how to spit on these colours,” read the ultras statement.

“That’s something that we have already reiterated during our famous choreography during the derby. We need great men of proven Milanisti faith and Leonardo is not among them.

“He chose to betray the Rossoneri people.”
