The next destination for Cristiano Ronaldo appears increasingly likely to be Juventus, with reports in Spain suggesting he is drawing closer to a Real Madrid departure.

In the wake of the Champions League final win over Liverpool, the Portugal international stunned the footballing world by suggesting that he may have played his final game for the club.

Multiple reports in Spain, notably from Jugones, have claimed that Juventus are leading the race for his signature and could snap him for a fee of just €100 million.

Despite the fact that he is now 33, the former Manchester United man does have a €1 billion release clause, although Los Blancos would reportedly be willing to sell him for a 10th of that price.

Ronaldo does have an agreement in his contract in the Spanish capital that would allow the club to waive his release clause and sell him in the event that they receive a reasonable offer.

Reports also suggest that a four-year deal worth €30m per season could be in the works for Ronaldo in Turin if Juventus were to agree terms with Real Madrid.

In the wake of Portugal’s World Cup exit at the hands of Uruguay in the last 16, Ronaldo refused to discuss his future, insisting that it was not the appropriate time to do so.
