Maurizio Sarri’s expected arrival at Chelsea could have a major impact on Juventus, with the ex-Napoli coach wanting to take hitman Gonzalo Higuain to Stamford Bridge with him.

The Argentina international spent 12 months under the 59-year-old’s stewardship in Naples during the 2015/16 campaign and breaking a post-war goalscoring record with 36 strikes in 35 league appearances.

Although the Bianconeri still see the 30-year-old as an important part of Massimiliano Allegri’s side, La Gazzetta dello Sport are reporting that the Turin club would be keen on an exchange involving former Juventus striker Alvaro Morata.

The Spaniard had spent two positive seasons with the Old Lady and despite them valuing Higuain around €70 million, Morata is five years his junior and would allow Allegri to reshape his playing squad for the long-term.

While no official approach has been made by the Premier League club, and Sarri yet to be officially unveiled, several intermediaries have been discussing what would be required to push a deal through.
