West Ham United are set to drop their interest in Lazio forward Felipe Anderson, after failing to negotiate a suitable fee for the Brazilian.

The Premier League outfit are looking to add more flair and creativity to their squad under new manager Manuel Pellegrini, with Anderson emerging as a key target.

However, as reported by CittaCeleste.com, West Ham are refusing to meet Lazio president Claudio Lotito’s €40 million up front demands, in addition to a further €10m in bonuses, and are ready to turn their attention elsewhere.

The Hammers have submitted a final offer of €35m plus bonuses totalling €7m, and with progress stalling are now looking towards Borussia Dortmund’s Ukraine international Andriy Yarmolenko.

It is believed that the former Dynamo Kiev captain could be captured for just €20m, which in turn could see West Ham pull out of a move for Anderson all together.

Regardless of a breakdown in a move to East London, Anderson’s future at Lazio remains in doubt. Despite a contract renewal being offered by the Aquile, the Brazilian is reluctant to commit his future to the club.

Currently on holiday, it is expected that the former Santos star will seek to resolve his future with coach Simone Inzaghi upon his return to pre-season training.
