Dutch international Kevin Strootman is set to leave Roma for French side Olympique Marseille and he will be reunited with former Giallorossi coach Rudi Garcia, who is currently in charge of Les Olympiens.

The 28-year-old midfielder will be leaving Italy after five seasons in the Italian capital and Lupi tactician Eusebio Di Francesco has left him out the squad for their Serie A encounter with Atalanta on Monday evening.

CalcioNews24 report that Marseille will purchase Strootman for €25 million, he will earn €4.5m per season for the next five years, and he is expected to travel to France on Monday to have his medical.

Strootman has played in 131 competitive games for Roma since 2013 and he played a starring role under Garcia from 2013 until the tactician was sacked by the Giallorossi in January 2016.
