Although Juventus aren’t particularly happy with how they have started the season, Miralem Pjanic has insisted that they will soon hit top gear.

The Bosnian recently committed his future to the reigning Italian champions by penning a contract extension, following rumours of interest from Paris Saint-Germain.

He celebrated that new deal on Saturday with a fine goal for the Bianconeri to help them to victory over Lazio, a result that takes them to six points from six on offer, despite acknowledging that they haven’t quite been at their best yet.

“I’m pleased to be staying at this wonderful club. I’ve grown as a player since I’ve been here and the club is very important to me,” the former Roma man told Juventus’ official website.

“I want to dedicate the goal to the club, the fans and my teammates. We’re not firing on all cylinders just yet and we did well in spells even if we weren’t at our best.

“But a 2-0 win over Lazio is a very good result from a game that was certainly not easy for us. Now we need to work hard in order to find our best form.”
