A magnificent second half comeback from Torino earned them a 2-2 draw with Inter at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Sunday evening.

Things started brilliantly for Inter, as Mauro Icardi got free down the right just six minutes in, then rifled in a low cross for Ivan Perisic to fire past Salvatore Sirigu.

Then just after the half hour, Matteo Politano swung in a corner which found the head of Stefan De Vrij for his first Inter goal.

Following a first half which Inter dominated, Torino came out after the break and Iago Falque launched a long ball in the direction of Andrea Belotti, who wrong footed the Nerazzurri backline, touched the ball past Samir Handanovic and into the empty net.

Parity was restored 68 minutes in when Soualiho Meite gathered the ball outside the Inter box, and placed the ball into the bottom corner, just out of Handanovic’s reach.

SPALLETTI PANIC

Inter started with a back three of De Vrij, Skriniar and D’Ambrosio, and started well. The 3-4-3 put lots of pressure on the Torino backline and they crumbled. However, after Belotti scored, what was a freak goal, Spalletti changed immediately to a 4-4-1-1, Asamoah had to go off and he then reverted back to last season’s 4-2-3-1 which then became their downfall. Inter never looked as dangerous as they did in the opening stages.

DISASTROUS DALBERT

Two minutes after coming on in place of a very good Asamoah, he was all at sea and Torino scored. Clearly lacking in confidence and doesn’t look as if he knows what Spalletti expects of him. He was a liability for his 22 minutes on the pitch.
