Antonio Di Natale looks set to join Spezia’s coaching staff at the request of current boss Pasquale Marino.

The Udinese legend called it quits on his playing career in May 2016, netting a total of 209 Serie A goals – 191 of which came with the Zebrette.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports he will return to the world of calcio, with Spezia expected to hire him as a striker coach.

The move would see him reunite with Marino, who coached the forward at Udinese from 2007 to 2009, along with 2010.

It’s during this time that Di Natale was moved from the wing and made into a central striker, which resulted in him winning back-to-back Capocannoniere awards in 2010 and 2011.

No doubt Spezia will be hoping he can impart their strikers with a similar magic touch, as they look to secure promotion from Serie B this season.
