Roma sporting director Monchi appears to be in high demand from some of Europe’s biggest clubs with Barcelona the latest believed to be interested.
The news comes after previous reports that Manchester United were also considering a move for the former Sevilla director.
Both the Corriere dello Sport and La Gazzetta dello Sport report that the La Liga giants are looking at the potential of acquiring the 49-year-old’s services to help start a new player cycle at the club.
Despite being under contract with Roma until June 2021, Monchi’s family is believed to be keen for a return to Spain and the recent criticism received from fans over the club’s summer transfers is not thought to have helped the situation.
