Fiorentina host SPAL at the Stadio Artemio Franchi hoping to get quickly back to winning ways after the midweek draw, with the visitors looking to continue their splendid form.
Alban Lafont is back in goal for Fiorentina, after missing the past three games due to injury. Stefano Pioli once again goes with his preferred trio up front, as Federico Chiesa and Marko Pjaca start either side of Giovanni Simeone. Top scorer Marco Benassi back in the starting line up after being initially left out against Sampdoria on Wednesday.
Leonardo Semplici returns to Florence – his place of birth – aiming to replicate last season’s result at the Franchi, with SPAL coming out with a goalless draw and a crucial point. Up front it’s Mirco Antenucci and Andrea Petagna again, with a change in the system, at least on paper: it’s 4-4-2 instead of 3-5-2.
