It just keeps getting better for Fiorentina’s Giovanni Simeone and the 23-year-old striker’s impressive start to the Serie A season has carried into the international break as he scored his first goal for Argentina on Saturday.
Simeone has a goal and an assist to his name in 180 minutes of Serie A action for La Viola this season and was rewarded for his form with an Argentina debut against Guatemala, in which he justified his selection by finding the net.

Picking up the ball on the edge of the box facing a defender, Cholito was typically direct as he rounded his opponent before finishing well.
Simeone has impressed since moving to Serie A, originally with Genoa where he scored 14 goals and provided two assists in 37 games.
In Florence, the Argentinian forward has netted 15 times and contributed with 6 assists in 42 appearances.
