Despite not yet scoring for new club Inter, Keita Balde insists that he can be prolific for the Nerazzurri over the coming months, starting with Parma on Saturday.

With the Milan-based club fighting on three fronts this season, with the Champions League and domestic competition, the on-loan Monaco man suggested that he is capable of reducing the goalscoring burden on captain Mauro Icardi.

“I can become a 15-20 goals per season striker. I have the goals in me,” Keita told Sky Sport Italia.

“I try to exploit my qualities to the maximum and that’s good for the team. We have a great group of talented guys and it’s really a pleasure to be here, the team is very strong.”

The Sengal international is hoping that facing the Gialloblu will bring him some luck at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, after registering his first Serie A goal against them with the Biancocelesti.

“The goal is to win the game on Saturday, regardless of who scores,” claimed Keita. “My first goal in A was in Parma, though, I remember winning a rebound, dribbling round [goalkeeper Antonio] Mirante and scored.”

Although only on loan from Ligue 1, the 23-year-old insists that he is looking for a longer term stay back on the peninsula with Inter.

“I want to be part of this great club and in the future everyone at Inter will remember my name,” stated the attacker. “For me this is a point of arrival.”
