In a bid to disrupt Juventus’ preparations for their Champions League opener, Valencia supporters attempted to keep them from enjoying a good night’s sleep before police were called.

The Bianconeri are in Spain for the first game of their European campaign and face Los Che at the Mestalla on Wednesday evening, although their trip hasn’t gotten off to the best start.

As reported by Spanish newspaper Las Provincias, a group of up to 20 hooded ultras descended on the Bianconeri’s Westin Hotel on Tuesday night in a bid to disrupt the sleeping habits of the Italian champions.

They engaged in loud songs and insults directed at the visitors, let off flares and firecrackers and unveiled a banner which read: ‘Juve Merda’.

Hotel security called the national police, who disbanded the group and sent them on their way after arriving before setting up a security blockade around the venue until 7am to prevent any further incident.

Given that there was also vandalism which occurred around the Westin, hotel staff have sent CCTV footage to the authorities in a bid to identify those responsible.
