Inter’s early season slump already looks to be a thing of the past after back-to-back victories over Tottenham and Sampdoria respectively, scoring a late goal in each game to clinch the points.

That in mind, the Forza Italian Football Player of the Week for round five in Serie A has been awarded to Marcelo Brozovic.

The Croatian delivered when Luciano Spalletti needed to most, popping up with the Nerazzurri’s winner at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.

His critics are plentiful, but Brozovic has shown for both club and country before that he has the ability and work ethic to be an important player for Inter if he can put in these performances with more consistency.
