Hugo Lloris and Dele Alli will miss out on Tottenham’s Champions League match with Inter on Tuesday due to injury.
The French No.1 will miss several weeks of action after picking up a thigh injury, the latest in a run of bad news for the 31-year-old.
On Wednesday he was fined £50,000 and banned from driving for 20 months after admitting drink-driving, though manager Mauricio Pochettino has stated he will remain the club’s captain.
Alli will join him on the sidelines after picking up a hamstring injury during England’s match with Spain.
It means both players will miss this Saturday’s Premier League clash with Liverpool, along with Tuesday’s opening Champions League encounter with Inter.
Michel Vorm is expected to replace Lloris, having made just two league appearances for Spurs over the past two seasons.
He also made just one Champions League appearances last season – a 3-0 victory over Apoel Nicosia in the group stage.
